Dr. Frederick Clough
Founding Operator
Fred is an experienced healthcare investor, operator and formerly clinician. Across his time working at startups and top global financial institutions (Blackstone, Citadel, PJT) he has broad exposure to Healthcare & Life Science businesses at all stages.
Fred was a co-founding member and Senior partner of a healthcare-focused $300MM equity fund. He invested across medical services, Therapeutics, Tools & Medtech businesses.

Fred holds a First Class degree from Oxford University, where he studied Medical Sciences, and his BMBCh from University College London
David Van R.
Serial Entrepreneur & Acquisitions Expert
David has almost two decades experience both starting companies and as an investor, including working at a number of blue-chip global financial institutions (Lazard, HIG and CVC).
David was a founding team member of CVC’s multi-billion-dollar Strategic Opportunities platform where he completed multiple equity investments in the US and Europe. In total, David has completed nearly thirty transactions, including control buyouts, minority investments, bolt-ons, JVs, re-financings and IPO.
Most recently, David led the Services division of one of CVC’s portfolio companies, Petco, where he was responsible for a $600m+ P&L.
David holds a MA from Oxford University, where he studied Experimental Psychology.
Dr Sonia Szamocki
Operating Advisor
Sonia has started multiple companies, including her latest venture, 32Co, a high growth startup in the health technology space backed by leading US & European VCs.
​
Prior to building companies, Sonia ran strategic advisory and operational restructuring projects for both startups and large multi-nationals while working at the Boston Consulting Group. Before this she worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician in the UK's NHS.​
​
Sonia holds an MA from Oxford University in Neuroscience and a Medical Degree from Imperial College, London.
